In 2002, I made my first trip abroad. Armed with a dog eared Lonely Planet guidebook and my roommate's point and shoot camera, I followed some friends to France and Spain.

What began as a simple desire to do something fun for New Year's Eve became a passion. By capturing images of people and places, I was able to commemorate my trip, but more importantly, I started seeing the world outside of my Northern California bubble.

 

Today I have traveled to 81 countries around the world. My equipment has changed, by my goal is the same, to record images of daily life—unfiltered, candid and in the moment.
